Therefore, music should be considered as part and parcel of every of such feasts. There is an assortment of music which you can make use of. It can be music that is quick or slow. Whatever you decide to use, make sure that it is something that will improve the mood and enjoyment of the guests.
What you should take note about music at any marriage party is that it must not be meant for dancing. There are a variety of things you can do with music; all will go a long way to add excitement which ought to be one of the most important features of the party.
A very fashionable way of using music at marriage parties is to use it to play the game of musical chairs. This is often thought by most elderly guests to be a play or amusement meant for children. This seems true but there are some bits and pieces you may add to this to make it look more mature. Anything could be used in place of chairs. In most cases, men could be used in place of chairs; and this will also depend on how your guests appreciate this gesture. The men’s knees will normally serve as chairs for the women. The play goes on as the same for any game of musical chairs. But a pair of players gets eliminated as soon as either of the two players falls. This goes on until one couple is declared winner.
Most couples will usually embark upon this game for the simple reason of giving away the centerpiece. Remember that is it always a delight for every guests to think of taking this home. This game of musical chairs may also be used as a means to let the winner of the centerpiece take it home. It may be reasonable to feel that whoever wins the centerpiece must have worked for and duly earned it.
There is another inspiring game known as “name the tune”. But this is preferable in a marriage setting in which the guests consist of a small number and in which there is that closeness in which every guest knows at least a bit of everything about the couple. What usually happens is that a collection of tunes are made before the start of the celebration. When it comes to music time, each of those tunes is played. You can either group the guests to work as a team or leave them to work individually.
They will however have to work to identify the tune that is being played. For the game to be a bit difficult and exciting, only a small part of the music is played. Keep in mind that it should be such that it cannot be easily identifiable by the guests. The group that identifies the tune within the least time is the winner.
As earlier said, this will not be feasible in the event of so many guests. Keep in mind that when there are so many guests, there will usually be some modesty to preserve. The most important thing is to use the guests as a tool to arouse the couple into dancing.
