Some Entertaining Actions at the Buffet Table

In almost every conventional marriage party, there is always a buffet-style mealtimes in which some guests often hang around long lines behind those still considering if they will prefer a this or that item.

What should be done at all occasions is to let the guests have what they want and this should be done in an expedient manner. You need to become skilled in some of those techniques to keep your guests busy, while not thinking of hunger. Take note of the following alternatives:

A very fashionable activity is the number system. This is an arrangement in which every table is allocated a number and the allocated numbers are called up so that those at that table get to the table. The number of tables should not necessarily be done sequentially. An effective and practical way is to allocate the numbering according to the placement of flowers.  

On the contrary, a lot of brides will detest this numbering system. To them, it looks like an arrangement in a conference which calls for a lot of formality. As such, the numbering could be placed beneath the flowers or beneath the chairs. In case cards are used, the numbering could be done on these cards to indicate to every guest, his or her sitting position. The number of flowers can also be used to make this arrangement.

For example, if twelve flowers are to be used in total, you can put a single flower on a table to indicate the first table. The numbering continues until it reaches the twelfth table. But you must also know that this type of arrangement will be very expensive. Consider the fact that you may have a large number of guests and consider the cost of getting a large number of flowers.

Besides using numbers on the tables, you could opt for colors and the guests will have to move to the table according to their colors. In most cases, this can be very easy when different colors of tablecloths are used. The MC will only have to call the guest to go to the table according to the color on their table.

One more fashionable style is making some amusement with the guest when it is time to go to the table. A signal can be used. This might be a bell or any other item that can be used as signal. Once this is set, questions relating to the personal lives of the couple will be posed. If any table is inspired to answer, it will have to indicate by the signal. The table that provides the first and most accurate answer is given preference to go to the table ahead of the others. This process will have to go over and over again until everyone has gotten something from the table.

One good thing about this signal technique is that it enables some guests to get acquainted with themselves because they will have to scheme together to find an answer to their question.

There is another form of amusement but this is often misunderstood by the guests. This is a technique of numbering the guest at random, although they may find themselves at the same table. This can be done on their cards through numbers. The numbers are called and as soon as your number is read, you move to the table. It may be coincidental that more guests could at the same time come from one table. But it may turn out that guests will just come up randomly.

What is always important about this type of arrangement is that it avoids the situation where a large number of guests will have to finish eating before others have even gotten to the table. Equally, it brings up a situation in which a guest will finish while another has not even started.
