The weekend subsequent to the marriage celebrations ought to be jammed with exciting activities. This should be carefully thought of and opted for if this is one of those special events that draw family members from afar. You should begin planning your activities from Friday through Saturday. This should be concluded with a family breakfast on Sunday morning. In fact, every person should be able to travel back home with a feeling of relief.

Organizing activities in such cases should be simple. If you intend this to be very exciting, you should always think of the desires of every person. Remember that this is a family come together and every person should be treated with some honor. What is the nature of what you intend the marriage feast to look like? Should it be something more official or something more casual? If it has to be very formal, you should think of using this time to make adequate preparations.  

When all relations arrive ahead of the proper wedding day, you should know that you will have to keep them busy while waiting for the D-day. You can opt for an outing or an excursion. There are so many options but an open air activity will be relaxing and exciting to all.

A good pastime can be scavenger hunt. This is a game in which something special but closely related to the wedding or events relating to the wedding would be searched for. For example, you could request the finders to take a picture at a particular spot in which the couple had their first engagement. You can break up the finders into two teams or more. Also, the capacity of the finders in finding what is sought for should be considered. Remember that what is sought for should be something which is feasible to be found around.

There should be a reward for the group or team that is most successful. Rewards should be something tangible. One more thing to take note of is to use either people who know either the bride or the groom very well or mix them up. The teams could also be men against women.

An additional activity for the wedding weekend should be some form of open air or collective sports. Think of activities such as basketball or volley ball. Brings ideas together and think of ways to make these activities very unique. And of course, there should equally be rewards for all of these activities.

If you intend to have some of your guests participate in these events, you should think of making participation free of charge. Remember that most of your guests must have incurred some expenses in an effort to be part of this occasion. In such a case, the organizers should be ready to bear the costs.

If you consider these expenses unbearable, think only of those activities that are free. You can even get every person to watch a good and educative movie in any of the family homes or at the home of the new couple. Movies should be centered on family movies and these could be from either of the two families. Activities such as guessing the actors in the movies could also be thought of.
